Growing up in the small, rural town of Franklin, WV on a tiny horse farm, she often took in strays of various sorts (puppies, calves, lambs, goat kids) of which can still be found living on her parents farm!
Dr. Plaugher has 3 rescued Weimaraners named “Wrigley, “June Bug”, and “Captain Jack”. She also has a bottle-raised goat named “Hank” and last but not least, 4 horses, “Oliver”, “Mayberry”, “Truvy”, and the horse that inspired her to pursue veterinary medicine, “Kodak”.
Outside of veterinary work, Dr. Plaugher enjoys horseback riding (showing), fishing, photography, being outdoors with her dogs, spending time in WVA with her family, and watching WVU Mountaineers and MSU Bulldogs play football!!
